Current Vacancies

BIM/Revit Technician

Initially the successful candidate will be the Revit lead on a £100 million project consisting of student accommodation blocks. Candidates should have at least 2 years’ experience and be fully competent in use of Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing 3D models using Revit
  • Mentoring other junior CAD Technicians
  • Liaising with Engineers and checking output of CAD Technicians
  • Coordinating and Collaborating Revit Structural Models with other designers (Architects and Services Engineers)

Structural Engineer

Applicants should have at least 3 years graduate experience and be working towards achieving Chartership status with IStructE. Applicants should also have proven experience in all the key structural materials, British Standards and Eurocodes and a working knowledge of Building Regulations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Scheme designing to aid design development establishing stability, structural solution and basic grid/construction layouts in sketch format
  • Analysing structural components
  • Developing detailed designs, preparing calculations in all major materials and communicating the design clearly to fellow professionals, clients, and contractors
  • Liaising with other professionals, to resolve detailed information and develop design through scheme stages through to construction
  • Liaising closely with construction staff solving site queries and developing solutions
  • Using computer-aided design (CAD) technology
  • Developing others including our Trainee Engineers/Technicians & Graduates

Civil Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, Chartered, or near Chartered Civil Engineer to join our project team in Hove. The successful candidate will work alongside the Lead Civil Engineer.

Responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking technical and feasibility studies, FRA’s, report writing, drawing up plans and details
  • Developing detailed designs from concept to construction to comply with relevant regulations, best practice and guidance
  • Developing SuDS designs to mitigate flood risk and water quality issues
  • Assessing the sustainability and environmental impact of projects
  • Coordinating site investigations and analysing data
  • Managing resources efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Liaising effectively with architects, contractors, consultants, statutory authorities, co-workers and clients
  • Using computer-aided design (CAD) technology
  • Developing others including our Trainee Engineers/Technicians & Graduates
  • Working successfully alongside Line Management

Trainee Engineer

Each year we seek the best school leavers and mature students to join our growing business on a ‘learn as you earn basis’.

HOP can offer the right candidate sponsorship through University, via day release, leading to a HNC & BSc/BEng/MSc in Civil Engineering, then onto Chartered Engineer status.
