Diving and Coastal Civil Engineering
With two Piers, one of Europe’s largest Marinas and two major ports within a few miles, being conveniently located on the coastline of the south-east England, HOP’s Diving and Coastal Engineers are able to offer expert help and advice on a whole range of specialist marine engineering projects.
The Regency seaside city of Brighton & Hove is home to two of the UK’s most historic and famed Piers and HOP works closely with both Brighton Pier and the Brighton West Pier Trust. Planning has just been approved for the construction of an inspirational and innovative West Pier i360 visitor observation tower and HOP, as retained Engineers to the Trust, have been extensively involved with the proposed I360 development enabling works.
Brighton Marina offers it’s own set of marine engineering challenges and we have been involved in a range of coastal, sea defence, survey and repair works both here and currently at Newhaven’s West Quay development.
The Diving and Coastal Civil Engineering team at HOP can deliver all aspects of the feasibility, detailed design and implementation of major developments and infrastructure found at or near the waters edge. Conversely, wherever specialised services are required, we are pleased to provide these to enable projects managed by others.
Visual inspections are carried out from land or sea by qualified engineers. We also have engineers trained in underwater diving operations. Typical projects include seaside piers, river walls, flood defence, harbours and marinas.
HOP gives practical, economic engineering solutions on time and with attention to detail.
We work throughout the UK and nearby Europe and we pride ourselves on our learning and training opportunities within the organisation.
We are happy to give early, often informal involvement and respond quickly... Why not get in touch...
