Reinforced Concrete Detailing

As part of our strong commitment to provide practical, buildable designs, HOP has always been happy working direct with contractors. You will find our office works the same hours as site hours and most of our staff have contracting experience; we are therefore very ‘at home’ working directly with contractors, often on a Design & Build basis.

We particularly value getting involved in a project at an early stage where our new ideas and different approach combines to help contractors to win tenders, often by looking at things in a more cost-effective, programme-friendly or otherwise different way from an initial concept.

Our in-house concrete detailing service draws on our extensive site experience, which is continually updated by our ongoing site involvement in projects.

Adherence to programme is a core principle at HOP

We understand the need to provide fully checked and correct details well in advance of when they might be needed on site to enable market testing and pre-ordering to maximum cost advantage.

HOP runs full 3-dimentional software, has been using AutoCAD Revit since 2006 and also use Vico Constructor. A full range of AutoCAD compatible structural programmes and CAD’s RC Detailing are also in use at HOP.

Whereas we always try and avoid last minute changes on site, we realise that these can happen and as part of our quick response service we are able to deal with these effectively, efficiently and with a minimum of disruption to a contractor’s programme.

Major RC detailing works that HOP has successfully completed include the €90 million Ocean Village development in Gibraltar, ‘Heavy Civils’ works for London Underground as part of the Channel Tunnel scheme and major multi-storey blocks throughout southern England.
