Practical Skills in Construction 2016

Practical Skills in Construction was a week long course organised and run by HOP to help those who wanted to get into the Construction Industry, but had not had the opportunity to experience the practicalities of some of the work involved, nor, importantly, had the opportunity to study for their Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.

The week was packed full of various learning opportunities, workshops, interesting site visits (including the Palace Pier and Shoreham Port) and outdoor activities.

Participants sat their CSCS test and passed with flying colours. It is great to hear of the success stories from those entering fulltime employment as a result of the week. A big thank you must go to all those that made such a project a reality.
