This Riverside development combined HOP’s expertise in Marine, Structural and Civil Engineering, enabling the successful co-ordination and amalgamation of the new Steel Sheet Piled Anchored Riverwall with the building structures. Challenges associated with the contaminated brownfield site within a flood zone were addressed in our early scheme designs; with buildability, economy and safety at the forefront.

Typically constructed with traditional loadbearing masonry and precast concrete floor slabs, the superstructure incorporates steel frames to achieve the complex riverfront elevation. Below ground, waterproof basements were formed in reinforced concrete, supported on pile foundations
